The history of Swiss Blues

The Lazy Poker Blues Band is one of the original bands in the history of Swiss Blues. In 1975 Cla Nett and four young musicians met to play their music, the blues. In 1978 they released their first album "Take it Lazy" and started to play concerts internationally. During the years the band line-up changed many times. The band released several CDs and played as openers for Joe Cocker and B.B. King, among others.

In the mid-nineties, the Lazy Poker Blues Band fulfilled a dream. They went to Chicago where they had the honor of performing with the big names like A.C. Reed, Kenny Neal, Billy Branch, Jimmy Johnson, Little Smokey Smothers, among others and recorded the CD "Halsted". In recent years, the Lazy Poker Blues Band continues to perform with various guests.

Even after more than 40 years of hard work, the band around the charismatic leader Cla Nett, who was honored with the Swiss Blues Award in 2004 for his commitment to the blues in Switzerland, is not tired and by no means "lazy".
